J-Tube Seals

The inside of the J tube is often flooded with water containing corrosion inhibitor and to be effective this needs to be sealed in.

PE produces both diverless and diver installed J-tube seals. The former is preinstalled prior to deployment and is pulled into position as the riser is raised through the J-tube during installation. Diver installed J-tube seals are often retrofitted and feature diver activated seals.

In both cases high performance polyurethane is used for the sealing surface and seal assembly.

Cable centralisers are designed to maintain the position of a cable within a J-Tube bell and reduce the cable movement during service life.
