Trialling and Testing
All products from Pipeline Engineering are designed and manufactured in line with ISO 9001:2000 requirements to ensure high standards are maintained.
Many of the products produced by Pipeline Engineering require independent testing due to the operating environments in which they are used. This is particularly the case with our pressure vessel components such as our Rapid Opening Closure and launching and receiving traps and we work closely with all relevant organisations to ensure they will perform to accepted industry standards.
Pipeline Engineering also has its own in-house testing facilities which allows us to undertake our own testing on components to ensure the products meet the requirements of projects they are being developed for.
Testing is particularly important for many of the special utility pigs that we produce. A thorough evaluation of a project takes place before products are designed and prototypes produced; this then allows testing to take place.
Our testing facilities include a test loop facility which we adapt and use according to specific project requirements. A prototype pig can therefore go through ‘simulated’ runs to ensure it performs as expected. If modifications are required these can be done relatively easily and having our own test loop means as many additional runs as necessary can be performed.
Dedicated and thorough testing including test loops is essential to Pipeline Engineering to ensure products are produced and supplied to our clients and to our own exacting standards and the testing facilities ensures performance criteria can be met.
